Right click your account in the folder pane and select settings. In the account name, above server settings. Ensure the email address is specified correctly in Email Address and that reply-to address is blank.

Some receiveds choke on a valid reply to address. I leave it in, but perhaps you should remove it to see if that might be the cause of the trouble. I would however think it is the email address above it that is the problem, perhaps it does not have the @ or, seeing as you appear to be from Northern Europe, does either have umlaut's or other text decoration. My experience is that servers are at times maintained by folk that are blinding in their tunnel vision about how language is written. "We don't use that stuff in Texas"

thanks Matt, i checked the matters from your advice but there are no flaws there: emailaddress is correctly stated in the box and the reply-address box is left empty; thus the problem still exists kind regards

Do you still see the same issue if you disable the mail redirect add-on? While Onno Ekker does good work, there may be a bug there.
