Google News Search results has unreachable footer due to infinite scroll. This makes it very difficult to catch the "Create News Alert" button in footer.

Firefox 53.0.2 (32 bit). Windows 10.

From Google.com, do any search, click on "news" filter beneath the search box, then try scrolling to the bottom of the window to click on the "create news alert" button.

My search results scroll down infinitely. So when I get to the bottom I can see the alert button only briefly before another page loads and scrolls so that the button is now out of sight. I could continue chasing it down the page forever. It's a horrible game.

I normally only get infinite search results it I search for images. Otherwise I only get limited search results.

Does Google behave differently in your case?

Does the cursor End key work for you to avoid loading new results?

You may have to press End more than once.

Same thing using the 'end' key. It brings me momentarily to end of results but then it auto loads the next page.

I do get the same infinite results on the "all" and "images" filter as well. But "news" is the one that has the very useful link at the bottom of the results.
