What version of Thunderbird is this?
The ability to edit usernames and passwords was added comparatively recently. Prior to that, the method used was to simply delete the login (in that window you show us) and restart Thunderbird. When Thunderbird finds that it doesn't have a password, it'll ask you for it.

Ben there, done that. All I get is the "copy" prompt
Screenshot, please. Crop and blur or otherwise obfuscate any sensitive text so you don't reveal private data.
screen shot attached. As u can see, either right click or dbl click only gives me a "copy" option.
Maybe I can get around this by using the "Master password " option when I manually enter when asked by Thunderbird but unsure if that would also affect my other email providers login details

Ok. Much stuffing about and going thru 2 updates I have finally got Ver 5.0 which allowed me to edit the password on my "smpt" acct but unfortunately having already deleted my "imap" acct as advised which still kept requesting password on startup. I entered and "saved" on startup and all appears well. My list of saved passwords now shows both accounts with correct password.
Thanks to all. Will check for updates now.
