On trying to CLOSE FF after visiting certain websites such as

http://www.sanluisobispo.com/

FF seems to close (disappears from view) but actually does NOT close and upon launching another session kicks up a dialogue stating FF will have to be closed before the new session can be started and saying YES then opens the new session/browser.

OR I can close it ONLY by running Ccleaner. No other method I know will close FF completely, after visiting THIS and a COUPLE OTHER websites.

Why? And how can I block whatever that website is running (in the background) that locks FF from closing?

I'm thinking maybe reCaptcha in the background(?) may be the culprit?

I appreciate any help, Thanks!!

Please update install with Flash Player Version: 31.0.0.108 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

Hi please run this : https://www.malwarebytes.com/

You can see what your connected to via about:networking would not worry about Mozilla

Neither of those are viable answers, but thanks.

The most current malwarebytes is run on this system every day and has NEVER shown any issues, while this "problem" occurs EVERY visit to that website and a couple others that I cannot remember right now.

And FF 62.0 64bit requires maintaining the most current Flash, so THAT is not related to the issue, but, again, thanks.

Yes, we know Flash has nothing to do with your current issue. It is a reminder to update the biggest security risk invented.

Please try : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ?

If not please move on to  : Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st:

No. I won't.

It only happens on a FEW websites, and CONSISTENTLY those same websites. It is NOT my computer OR browser setup.

Thanks anyhow, but as I said, this ain't working. It's evident to me you're dropping straws, not researching answers. Let it go. Please. I'm DONE.

I won't respond again.

Thanks anyhow.
