I'm concerned for my privacy as I accidentally submitted a crash report. The two tabs which were open were my credit card statements and my online banking window. I had a third "private" window which contained my email accounts.

I'm just worried my identifiable information has been stored by Mozilla, or that there will be a link between my banking details and IP address etc which would make me vulnerable to scams / internet banking fraud.

Is identifiable material stored by the crash reporter? Are my log ons or bank account details?

No. That sort of data is not included in a crash report. For example this https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/7c072858-903f-4c04-b39f-ab2d00190628 is a recent crash I encountered. As you can see there is no data about me in the crash report.

Optionally the user that encountered the crash can provide text telling us about what they were doing right before the crash, the current page open and an email address. This information is only accessible to a small number of Mozilla employees that investigate crash reports.

Thanks for the reply! It's just I read on the privacy policy that it may contain identifying information, so thought I should check

Thanks for your reply, it's just that the privacy policy says they may contain identifiable data and I've read about it transmitting raw memory data, which would include a significant amount of personal data ?

Hi

My understanding is the memory data transmitted is more like the amount of memory for the device or in use, rather than the contents of that memory.

Like I said in my reply. The user has the option to add identifying information. Since the user can add identifying information the privacy policy calls mentions it. Should a user choose to add extra information that information is not public. The information that users submit is deleted after 6 months as it is no longer relevant.
