Hmm, usually if you start with an Inbox link, Google will show you your mail or take you to the login page and then redirect back to your Inbox:
https://mail.google.com/mail/#inbox
Google acts like you don't have Gmail set up?
Well, I can get my gmail on Chrome, just not on Firefox.
When you try to follow the Inbox link in Firefox, what happens?
It opens up to: Add Gmail to your Google Account My info is already on the form except what I want my address to be. If I put in [email]@gmail.com , it says that address is taken (because I already have it!) and it suggests alternatives.

Do you use a bookmark or are you starting with the main (home) page of this website?
If you use a bookmark to access a specific page then instead navigate to this page starting with the main page or with the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.
hello ceekoenig ,
Have you tried logging out from the other browser. Then retry logging in via FireFox.
Tried it both ways - accessing from a bookmark then just typing gmail.com in the address bar. Neither worked.
Yes! I thought for sure if I could get it on Chrome then when I went back to Firefox it would work, but it didn't.
Sounds like a cookie issue.
Because i use Thunderbird to download/send Gmail's, I rarely log in via the browser. But when i do, i always go thru the www.google.com page, and not a direct link to the inbox.
Have you tried deleting the password/login from Firefox?
The option is under the 3 horizontal lines at right side of menu bar.
When I open mine, i see my google email address at the top of the list. So check if you see yours there too.
Then i would go down the list to passwords/logins and find the login under Accounts Google.
Then either modify the settings. Or delete the setting. Then go to Google.com and try logging in so FireFox can capture the info.
