Draytek router crashes when using Firefox on Windows 11
Started using Netscape and been with Firefox ever since it started. For the last few months, I find that my Draytek 2866Lac router randomly crashes and resets itself when I am using Firefox. I cannot pin it down to opening any particular website but it seems to be related to opening a new tab / link. I have FF set to open new tab automatically and no extensions (other than British English) are in use. Using FF, I can seldom go more than 5 -6 hours between resets. Not using FF, I have now managed 2 days constant uptime on the router - which is a fantastic change! Is there something peculiar with my system and any ideas how I can get stability again please?

You should contact Draytek support about login issue with Firefox browser.
I also have a DrayTek 2866ACac and since 27 Feb with Firefox 135 and 136 resets have been occurring frequently, more than 30 since that date. None with Safari. Even when Firefox is open but being accessed, a reset can occur unexpectedly even when using the Terminal app or once with System Preferences. iMac with Monterey. Ticket raised with Draytek but no reply yet. The internet is managed by BT's DLM (dynamic line management) system and SYNC rate will be downgraded if mean time between DSL resets exceeds a certain value. I don't know what mechanism exists for the browser to reset the router. LDS
Thanks for the comments above.
As an update, I have been in contact with Draytek support and they suggested changing my "WAN connection detection" to "Ping Detect" from "Always On". I am using 8.8.8.8 for this. I am pleased to say that my router has not reset for 5 days despite extensive use of FF. FF has now updated to v136.
The 2866Lac is now running firmware v4.4.6_BT which Draytek suggested and they issued at the same time.
As to whether it was the connection detection or the router firmware that made the difference I have no idea.
However, I am no pleased to be able to use FF and browse without erratic resets.
