It doesn't matter if I select "Save File" or "Cancel", I will still get the popup the next time that I start Firefox. And I'm still not getting the "Do you want Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts?" query when I close Firefox.

I had one problem, and did a re-install and now I have two!

You can check the home page setting.

This can also be a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

You will have to redo App Tabs and Tab Groups after deleting sessionstore.js.
