when i press for new tab, nothing happens... why?

when i press the plus sign for a new tab to open nothing happens. How do i fix this

Try running Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
