The private browsing option is not high lighted for use

I can not access the private browsing (start) option. It is NOT high lighted

On Mac that would be: command + Shift + P

You may already be in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
Uncheck: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
