The application can "not initialize the application's security component" and so Firefox will not open any more... PLEASE ADVISE!!
One day while trying to run the firefox application a box popped up and said: "Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with the files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem." Ive tried everything and even deleted and then reinstalled firefox... We miss it!!

Please try
- disabling any background anti-virus software you have, as it may be using Firefox files while it loads and prevent it from reading them
- following the steps at Fix the "Could not initialize the application's security component" error message
