Older versions of Firefox did not support the automatic Norton password login feature

Yes you should use Norton 2011 or 2012 product and Firefox 5 or later to get auto login, identi safe, safe web feature

Yes, Firefox 8.0 does support Norton's ID safe login. Upgraded to 8.0 and works fine.
