Hi , go to Tools, Options, Advanced, Network, Settings and make sure "No proxy" is selected. If everything looks ok, check your firewall settings to see if Firefox is being blocked access to internet. Hopefully this help you.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox?
