In Firefox 20 MozRepl will not "Activate on startup" when restarted.

After Firefox upgraded to 20.0 the MozRepl 1.1 add-on does not retain the "Activate on startup" setting. I select the option and the check mark appears. When I close Firefox and restart the check mark is gone. I have a Perl script that uses WWW::Mechanize::Firefox. Firefox loads but now the script fails with "Failed to connect to , pattern match timed-out at C:/Dwimperl/perl/site/lib/MozRepl/Client.pm line 151. "
