Does an imac need to be "cleaned" if it is working properly?
I am just concerned about malware and cookies being tracked. Apple says this computer does not need any extra add-ons to protect it. I do not want to damage it if it does not need the extra devices.

P.S. I see you are still using Firefox 25. You should update Firefox to the latest version, currently Firefox 26, to take advantage of recent security fixes and other improvements. See
