I was working on a blogspot post and Firefox crashed. I had been working for hours writing the post and saving regularly (see note*) When I reopened firefox all of the work I had done had vanished. I'm hoping there might be some way to retrieve this, like with pro tools 'previous sessions'

  • I was using command S to save, as opposed to pressing the save button.

Is it possible that the data may have been saved elsewhere by using this method?

Cheers

Kevin

If you used control + S it is possible that you may have been saving the webpage instead of saving in the website (however I am not sure what the save shortcut is for the blog you mentioned) Blogspot is the hosting service, I am not sure what you use to manage, maybe blogger? If so, check to see if there are any autosaved drafts for the blog post you were editing.

In the future please consider setting up an autosave or an add on to save form data. For example Lazarus: Form Recovery Add on

I think you might be better off using a Word type program that has an auto-save function. Then, when you are done, copy / paste.
