I'm not afraid to edit config files if only that way it is possible! Or download addon which can help me in this!

PS. I too many times sent emails via my personal account instead of my public account which is annoying but it has been happening for more then a year to me so I gave up I ever manage to get used to check check which account is in the "From:" field. Please help! :'(

Normal method to choose the 'From' if you want to choose it prior to opening a 'New Message' window.

When you click on 'New Message/Write', the From email address will be whatever account currently has focus in Folder Pane.

So if you have accounts A,B and C and you want the 'From' to use 'B', then first select any folder in account B, so when you click on 'New Message' the From will use B account as email address.

I have located an addon which you may want to check out: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/identity-chooser/

It forces you to choose the sender address first.

I LOVE IT! 🤩 Also it works with keyboard TAB>Enter and all goes with mouse use! Also love the "BorderColors D" addon your addon suggests! These both must solve my flaw of not checking the sender account! 🙌

PS. I noticed two typos in your addon's onboarding.html page. "You can you rearrange the order of your email adresses and" I think you wanted type "You can rearrange the order of your email addresses and"

It's okay. It happens to me all the time too. 🙃👎
