Thunderbird only dowloads unread messages, so if I read a message on my phone it won't download on the computer
Is there a setting where Thunderbird will download all new messages to Thunderbird and not just the unread messages? I often read some messages on my iPad, but when I get to my computer those messages will not download. It's frustrating to search for a new message in Thunderbird that I know I've read, but Thunderbird doesn't have it. I end up having to check my iPad as well.

Gmail using the POP mail protocol I guess.
Try changing your setting on their web site. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/fwdandpop
