I did try today to download the new version thinking it had now actually installed but then the download failed giving message "insufficient K." However, I checked again the version listed in the Application folder for the Mac, and version 6 is listed.

Can you find about firefox. Firefox button -> help -> about firefox or help - > about firefox. And see the version. After uninstall firefox and reinstall firefox. Then if that doesn't work let me know.

You may need to reset your User agent as it is showing that you have Firefox 3.6.20 installed. Click "More system details" to the right of your original question, scroll all the way to the bottom, you will see:

Thank you. I do not have sufficient knowledge to reset my "user agent." But I did delete/uninstall Firefox 3.6 and then downloaded successfully the new version of Firefox. But I still cannot access my hotmail account using the new version of Firefox. I can, however, access the account using Safari, so I guess I will have to settle for that. Thank you.
