Message filters
Hi I have the message filters set up but it doesn't run If I use it manually it works fine I have the filters log set up and I can see that it does check certain incoming mails but not all I have set it up that the mails get sent to a folder in my inbox when it recognizes the address, I have set it up as "match any of the following" In the mail address it is 'from' contains' then 'perform these actions'- 'move to' But I still get mail that is not directed correctly?

I use a similar filter, but I set it up as if the "from" is in my "friend-address-book" move to "friends-folder".
I earlier found that contains not always function on full addresses. But this did I also didn't have to change the filter everytime I wanted to add or delete an address. '
I have an other for spamers, using "Spam-address-book"
I have FiltaQuilla addon

Not sure what you mean? I have had this set up before but I reloaded my previous mails from moz backup and deleted ALL my current emails including filters. I have set it up as I have seen it is correct but yet I don't get all the mails filtering. If I run each one it works just fine. Running the filter log shows the applied filters only when I run it manually
I got the advice that "contains" with full address (me.lastname@server.net) didn't always worked. A better option was using "me.lastname" or "ends with" "server.net" Don't ask me why? The thing that worked was putting all those addresses in a special address book. And then filter If from is in my address-book "special" , do ....
I marked filter manually, new mail and before junk classification.
FiltaQuilla gives you more filter options.
Thanks for this- but I feel as though we are 'trying stuff' to get this to work Does it work or not? There must be a hard and fast way i.e do this and this and voila!??
Alright I shouldn't have given you any options. But it works many ways. I given you my way of doing this and they worked. The "addressbook-filter" was the easiest to maintain. Your choise.
