But it never does.

I have Firefox installed on two computers, and on one of them the DRM addon never installs. I've uninstalled Firefox, and deleted all Firefox related files from appdata.

The computer that has the DRM addon installed used to be running Windows 8.1, now Windows 10. The computer that won't install the DRM addon is running Windows 7. On both computers I use 64-bit Firefox beta, which at the moment is on version 39.

And config options that start with media.eme and media.mediasource.

media.eme.apiVisible;true media.eme.enabled;true media.mediasource.enabled;true media.mediasource.mp4.enabled;true media.mediasource.webm.enabled;false media.mediasource.whitelist;true

The OpenH264 plugin is used for WebRTC (Hello) and not for playing media files, so media.gmp-gmpopenh264 prefs wouldn't apply the the DRM module.

See Supported platforms:

Currently, Adobe Primetime is only available in Windows Vista/7/8 and above when using 32-bit versions of Firefox.
Mac OS X, Linux, Windows XP and 64-bit versions of Firefox are currently not supported.

Yes, I am aware it does not, I was simply being thorough by including all config options in the categories that may be relevant to the problem.

I see 64-bit versions of Firefox are not supported, that does not explain why it is installed on another computer that is likewise using 64-bit Firefox 39. Perhaps the information is outdated?

In the case it is not, may I suggest to improve the notification tooltip to say "Current version of Firefox is not supported by this plugin" or something, instead of implying the plugin will be installed shortly, but never does?

Did you try it with a 32 bit Firefox version?
