why does 'google keep intruding when I do a search? have you sold out to them?
Recently when I have been doing searches for websites I keep getting messages from Google about data protection and there is no way to get out of it. Personally I abhor Google and am wondering if you have been bought by them or are that piggybacking on your site?

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.
- Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0
- Shockwave Flash 19.0 r0
You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.
You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.

Google is no longer the default in any language ever since Firefox 34.0 Release however it is still one of the options in list to choose from.
Mozilla has been getting away from Google as the change in default search engines is one of those steps. https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2014/11/19/promoting-choice-and-innovation-on-the-web/

While we have decided to not renew our agreement for global default placement, Google will continue to be a pre-installed search option.
Is still in the list of choices yes however Google is no longer the default for any locale.
And you just proved you misunderstand me as per PM.
