when i click on Get Messages, none appear even though I know there are some there

I'm also using Outlook to get messages on my Apple products. Most times Outlook gets my messages quicker than Thunderbird. I want to save messages so I go to GoDaddy, log into my account, click the messages I need to save, have them marked as Unread and go back to Thurnderbird and click Get Messages. No new messages appear. Try several times with same result. Close Thunderbird and reopen it and messages I marked as Unread appear.

Several people were complaining here recently about not getting new messages via GoDaddy IMAP, unless Thunderbird is restarted. Check with GoDaddy if they have problems. Assuming there is a GoDaddy support forum, check whether other users have the same problem.
