When i checked my browsing history, i noticed that some sites have the 'gray globe' logo in it...
compare to the other sites which have the typical/normal logo of that particular site, why is it that the other sites have a gray globe logo? websites not secure?? or any other reasons? but then some sites are the same yet there will be those that will have gray globe. i attached an image for a clearer description

Sometimes Firefox just loses track of the icon used. More important is the icons shown on the addressbar when you visit a site because they do indicate security status. Lost icons should be discovered again next time you visit a site. See also

Also note the scheme changed last year
