Is it a IMAP- or POP3-account? I would advice against it even if it did work. Inbox is always in use as it collects the new mail. In IMAP it is the server-inbox that you see. In POP3 its the one that the server downloads to.

In IMAP you would set up a sub-inbox wich the server disagree with In POP3 it would be a local folder but looking at its part of INBOX You can create NEW folders in IMAP on server. Or in POP3 on your pc (that would be local).
