I have to refresh firefox every time I open it because the bookmarks tab or menu tab won't open. None of my tabs work. How can I fix this?
After Firefox upgraded last week, I can no longer use my bookmarks tab, menu tab, or anything I have saved to my tabs up top. I have to refresh it every time. How can I get it to stay?

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version?cache=no Did you update Firefox to the latest version 55.0.3
As I stated in my original post, Firefox updated to the latest version last week. I've been having this problem ever since. Sorry if this posted twice....I can't tell what's happening here.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
See also:

You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
You know, I'm not a computer expert. I have no idea what to do with the links you sent me. I just want my menu bar at the top of my screen to work again! Can I revert back to the Firefox version before this latest update? This is annoying! Every time I open FF, I have to go to about:support and "Refresh Firefox", then everything freezes and I have to use CTRL+ALT+DELETE to get it to shut down. When I reopen it, then my bookmarks and menu button work until the next time I open it up again. How can I revert back?

If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

Well, I see by the webpage you linked that there could be serious problems with an earlier version; Why can't I just get my bookkmarks menu bar to stay working? Can you tell me that? I've already had to start working with Google Chrome, but I don't want to stay there. I opened up the profiles located on my C drive, and everything I click says that the computer doesn't recognize the file type and it's asking me which program to use. This doesn't make sense at all. All icons under firefox are blank.
And I already reinstalled it. I now have two mozilla icons at the bottom of my screen, which didn't help the matter, either.
So,. can someone help me with this other than FredMcD?
I would contact firefox support about this matter to see if its a glitch with the new version of firefox.
This is Firefox support.
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
