Hi auczciwek,

Thanks for reaching out to the Mozilla support Forum.

Could you please let me know if this issue persists on other browsers as well? Are you facing this issue only with Gmail or across websites?

Meanwhile, let's try the steps given below and see if they work for you:

Try using the Firefox in the incognito mode. If that works, then temporarily disable your extensions to identify which one is causing the problem. To do this go to about:addons and disable each extension one by one.

Keep me posted.

Best, San

Make sure you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.

Make sure you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Options/Preferences -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors: "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.

Special icons are usually supplied by a special icon font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face) You may see little boxes with the hex code of the character if you do not have a font installed that covers this Unicode range.

You can check gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled on the about:config page and make sure it is set to true (if necessary double-click the line to toggle its value to true).
