Win 10 refuses to accept Firefox as my preferred browser
Despite following all instructions to make Firefox my preferred Browser in Win10, the system persistently tells me that Firefox is NOT my preferred Browser, and I cannot seem to do anything about it. Thanks for any help. This problem has only recently arisen, due to an upgrade (downgrade?) in either Win10 or Firefox?

Hi : so this does not work ? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/make-firefox-your-default-browser
Please try this, you will need to reboot after registry repair and System Files fix, note it can download new files from Microsoft it needs them. Is win 10 version of SFC /scannow command
1)Use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu and select Command Prompt (Admin). 2)Type Copy/Paste the following command and press Enter: 3)DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
If still cannot you will need to go to one of these respected Windows 10 forums for help :

Thanks for your help. Ran DISM as you suggested, and it completed o.k. Still have troubles associating files with programs to open them, so will go to windows help.
