how to bold a single word in thunderbird?
I do not want the whole message in bold -- just want to be able to bold certain words.

Highlight the word (double click on the word or left click and hold down on first letter and drag to the left to hihlight entire word) and use the Formatting Bar - click on the 'bold' icon. It is the one in bold A to the left of the 'italise' A icon.
