It would be nice if tags could change the background colour to the message rather than just the color of the letters.

Currently when I tag a message the font color of the message changes. It would be nice if I could change the background color for tagged messages too, to make them stand out more.

If you're familiar with userChrome.css files, this method works here in TB 60:

after the latest update the tag colors no longer change, they screwed the pooch when they changed the color picker, thunderbird cannot use the colors in the picker and now all the tag color changes produce black fonts. I used to be able to categorize my emails in the list in color, not any more. I hope they can fix it soon, there is nothing worse than seeing an email list in all black when you are used to s list in colors

Here's a quick guide to install tag backgrounds:

1. Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder to open the profile folder, close TB. 2. Create a new folder in the profile folder named chrome. 3. Create a text file in the chrome folder and save it as userChrome.css. 4. Copy the code posted here into the css file, Save. 5. Restart TB and tagged messages now have text on coloured backgrounds.
