Lately, when I click an email Hyperlink in Thunderbird, it opens the right browser page but the link I clicked is completely gone from the email itself. Is this intended by the Thunderbird creators?

Is the link gone or just invisible because perhaps you have the color for visited links the same as the message background? Open Tools/Options/Display/Formatting/Fonts & Colors/Colors...
