Running Lubuntu 18.04, File>Print Preview>Page Setup>Format For  : pre-selects "Any Printer". When I select my Epson XP322 Network printer (URL dnssd://...) and save that, it is not retained, it reverts to "Any Printer". Data is received by the printer as the printer's screen briefly displays "Printing", but nothing is printed.

Did you install and verify the printer software was working. That would be the first think to check on. Network printers are picking and when installing a network printer you should verify the software sees it to properly install it.

Hello, to print a web page from Firefox I save it to a pdf file, then open that file with Libreoffice and it prints perfectly. Also, lpr works fine from a shell.
