accessing a statement from a website
I am using Firefox 76.0.1 (64 bit) on a new windows 10 system.
I am on a website that has monthly statements for me and trying to bring the current one up.
If popups are blocked I get a popup error. If popups are NOT blocked, I get nothing other than a quick flicker of the screen.
This website is working fine in Edge.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Harold, uBlock Origin is a very popular extension, but isn't included with Firefox, so someone must have added it.
The extension adds a toolbar button that provides detailed information about what it is doing in the page, and providing access to its settings. I think it would be beneficial to re-enable the extension and figure out whether you can adjust its behavior to fit your needs through that button. If it doesn't let you get the popup you need, then you could report the scenario to its author. One place to do that would be on Reddit:

A quick flicker, hmm. Do you use any add-ons to supplement the popup blocker? Sometimes they are overly aggressive.
You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.
Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything related to popups? If in doubt, disable (or remove).
Any improvement?
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"
"Clear the Cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
I tried jscher2000 suggestion.....unfortunately ctrl-shift-a brings up a new appointment.
I also tried cor-el suggestion...
There are 3 add-ons (see attached image). With them all disabled, I was able to load the statement.
I then enabled them one at a time.
Enable LastPass, statement loaded Enable Webroot Filtering extension, statement loaded Enable uBlock Origin, statement DID NOT load
Disabled uBlock Origin and statement loaded....
Therefore, the problem must be with uBlock Origin.
For the them being, I will leave it disabled
Is there someone who should be notified of the problem?
I am using a new computer system.
I need to ask the person who set up my computer if this was automatically included in Firefox, or if he added it. Then to decide how to proceed....
Thanks for your help....any further suggestions would be appreciated.

I heard from the person who set up my computer....yes he did install it.
He has a lot of faith in it. He told me how to disable it for this website....and that worked.
Thanks for all your help.
