Getting TBsync to operate; My TB had updated from 68 etc to 78. I have used Gcontact sync and its no lonegr valid so i installed tbsync . I want to sync to mey google contacts. But i cant even get to base #1. On the tools .. there is no "Add-on Options " Just add-ons.. if i go toy TBsync further down i get the TBsync settings but assuming i add accounts here ( like Google) nothing shows.. go to add accounts and only get options for CalDav Card Dav , exchange. seems a bit bland on info here would have thought The menu would appear with google options too chris

I just installed the addon, I notice I have a "Synchronization settings (TBSync) So I guess it is there you have to go.

Oh, I tried looking at the instructions the author posted on the addon support site. https://github.com/jobisoft/TbSync/wiki/How-to-get-started

Looks like you can click the entry on the bottom right of the screen as well.

Thunderbird 78 does not have an add-on options as that was only in existence because addons lost the ability to place their options elsewhere in Thunderbird 68. That has obviously now been restored.

Yes I've been there and thanks i followed the instructions to add a sync service but it will fail on auto discover.. to do manually after entering my gmail account details its asking for me to manually enter the server address... what address? Sorry I'm not getting what's at play here , TBsync , The EAS, or Googles server. Look forward to some help thanks chris

You will be looking for the Google caldav endpoint.

that is https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/calid/user where calif is the calendar ID for the calendar issued by Google. For you first calendar it is your email address. For subsequent calendars you can get it from your calendar settings on Google. Under the heading Integrate calendar
