I think I'm supposed to import the Mbox file into Thunderbird's local folder using "ImportExportTools NG" but doesn't Thunderbird local folder have a 4GB limit?

I just want to be able to backup my work emails which use Gmail as an email client (in case of a cyber attack) - is there a better way to back up my Gmail work emails?

I have never heard of the 4GB limit.
