Unable to switch off Google Safe Search
Over the last 3 days, I've been unable to turn off the safe search option using Google as the search engine.
I get a message saying Safe search is locked.
This applies whether I'm signed in to Google or not, but doesn't occur in the chrome app for android.
I tried clearing cache, cookies & data etc to no avail.
So I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox yesterday which worked fine, however I've noticed the locked safe search filter is back on today.
Any thoughts?

Hi
If you use the Google Search Fixer add-on (available from the add-ons option in the Firefox for Android menu), you should be able to see the Settings option in the Google search results page that will allow you to change this setting.
Hi Paul. No luck I'm afraid. Tried the add on and reopened Firefox. Still says unable to manage safe search settings. Looks like its bing from here (ugh!).. Thanks for trying
Do you see a SafeSearch option from the three line menu when you go to google.com?
I do, but it's locked
'You can't change your SafeSearch setting at the moment because someone else, like a parent or administrator, controls settings on the network, browser or device that you’re using'
As I mentioned above, works fine in other browsers though
Hi
To clarify, is this on Firefox for Android or are you using a desktop or laptop computer?
This is Android Paul
If you sign into a Google Account first, you should then be able to change that setting.
Unfortunately not.
I've tried both not signed in and signed in, and it still states the same message - that Safe Search is locked by an external factor.
Thanks again
