I have been using Firefox for several years in preference to IE8 but for some unknown reason about 2 days ago it stopped loading and I get a small screen apearing which says it is the mozilla crash reporter. It then asks me to either quit or resart but it will not go any further than this crash rport screen. Can you please help. I have tried reloading a later version of firefox and to update the plug ins but nothing seems to work. My next action will be to remove the program all together from my desktop and try and reload everything again. But doing this will sadly loose all my favourits I guess!

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
