Tried many times but still same error. Only after i installed Quicktime Lite that I am able to clear my recent history. What has Quicktime got to do with clearing my firefox history ? I am now FORCE TO INSTALL Quicktime if i want to use Firefox.

That can be caused by clearing cookies via Clear Recent History.
Current Firefox versions also try to clear cookies and other data created by plugins.
You can let the cookies expire instead if you close Firefox to avoid that.

Thank you for your response. My problem is already fixed by installing (unwillingly) Quicktime Lite. But I still can't understand why clearing Quicktime cookies in firefox require executing the Quicktime program. I thought "clearing cookies" here simply means "delete cookies". Also I have tried closing ff and even reboot several times but can't clear history until I install QT.
