When I close a window, firefox then asks me whether I want to close my other open window - Can't I just close a window without having it affect my other windows??

Scenario: Two Firefox windows are open. Problem: Everytime I close one window , firefox then asks me to confirm closing the other window. I have to click "cancel" twice coz the confirmation box (one about multiple tabs) always comes up twice . Seems to only happen when there's only 2 windows open in total (not 3 or more), and there are multiple tabs in the original window. Bottom line: Very annoying!

How do you close that window?

If you use the close X in the top right corner on the title bar then you should only close that window.
If you use File > Exit/Quit the you close the Firefox program with all open windows.
You can use Alt + F to see a Close Window menu entry in the File menu.

I use the close X. It's very strange!
