when trying to print an e-mail I have written..it comes out all unreadable..I did go use about:config as someone suggested but want to know if it will hurt to re-set all..I just reset print_print printer

Reset all the print_print preferences for that printer and see how it works.

BTW, Firefox doesn't do email, when you view "email" in Firefox it is web mail. It might be a problem with the software your web mail service uses. Are you using the "Printer" button or "Print Ready" view??
