MacOS 10.4.11- Unable to update to current recommended Firefox because OS10.5.x is required. Cannot go to 10.5.x because of various software used that is not 10.5 compatible, what Firefox should I be running and what security update? And how do I get these updates?

Thank you. I don't mind having less browser functionality, but do mind having less security. Any suggestions on how to reconcile this. Switch back to Safari?

OSX 10.4 isn't the only limiting factor that you have, Firefox 4+ versions need an Intel processor.
For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4+ versions, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 .

Firefox 3.6.25 has basically the same security updates that the latest Firefox 9 version has - far better then what you now have.
