I cant seem to permanently disable automatic updates from settings, so i tried about:config and setted these values manually:

app.update.auto;false app.update.enabled;false app.update.mode;0 app.update.never.12.0.0;true extensions.lastAppVersion;null

Yet it still wants me to autoupdate lol (but very rarely now).

If files already have been downloaded then remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.

You can also delete active-update.xml and possibly updates.xml (this will clear the update history).

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
(%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)

The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.

So is there any chance to permanently disable it? (as it still asks for it)..

I opened another thread quite long time ago, but it seems like the problem is back lol
