Hi et2ausie,
You may be having problems due to use of the latest FlashPlayer 11.3
You may need to downgrade to FlashPlayer 11.2 or 10.3
- see flash 11.3 crashes and the articles linked from that.
Read that article, consider downgrading, and post back with how you get on.

RealPlayer
Problems may also occur if RealPlayer is in use, in which case as a first step upgrade to the most recent RealPlayer software, a release in the last few days may solve the problem. (Anyone with FlashPlayer problems, currently it is helpful if you state whether you have any RealPlayer software installed)
Background info & Protected Mode
Flash 11.3 on Windows (> XP) Firefox problems involve a new security feature: protected mode techie articles are

It may also be worth noting that
- some Flash installers enable protected mode some do not, so which link you use is important
- you will probably need to use adobe's uninstaller before downgrading
Developers from Flash & Firefox have been working on the problems for a number of days. Articles and advice may be updated as the situation changes.
