when i open firefox, nothing is clickable

my homepage is facebook and i can scroll up/down the page using the mouse wheel. when new feeds come in i can see them. However, i cannot click on anything.

this includes links on the page, anything on the tool bars (ie the plus symbol of the google search)

i DO get about half a second of 'clickability' at which time it stops being clickable (its still responding as per task manager) but after that time the mouse will maintain whatever 'form' it was in. ie text select or pointy arrow

this started today and i have already reinstalled firefox, but to no avail

i solved it :)

also, i couldn't open firefox in safe mode, i wasn't able to get to it to change the mode.

It was loading data from some random page, i pulled out my lan cable and after it failed to load i was able to click again. Then i cleared my cookies and it seems to have fixed it.

thanks for the quick reply though :)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
