Thanks for a fast answer. I should be probably more specific and mention before that I mean that progress bar which been integrated in to the small FF icon placed on the Dock under MacOS.

Note that this is in the Firefox Release notes:

This used to be available as an extension, but is now implemented in Firefox 22 and later.

I'm not seeing a way to suppress this.
