I am trying to block a maleware site not previously identified by Mozilla. Please help

more options

i have picked up what my research is telling me is maleware. I have ran 4 different kinds of security/maleware elimination programs and NONE seem to be working. I have done a system restore to the point before this started happening and I want to block the site/page from my computer. All I can find is parental controls on Mozilla- It started happening just 4 or 5 days ago, when i boot up my computer it spontaneously opens up to a (empty) web page before I even click on the firefox icon! The site address showing in the window is : https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/hellocdn.html?v=1

Please Help!

Microsoft has a utility to look at and manage your Startup programs. You can download it here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Two other ways a web page can open in your default browser at startup would be:

(1) Shortcut to that URL in your startup folder

(2) Scheduled Task set to run at startup

To see whether one of those could be the cause, try making Internet Explorer your default browser before your next Windows shutdown, and see whether the page opens in IE the next time you start up.

This site's malware support article lists a couple of specialized forums at the end. If the problem persists, you may want to post on one of those for step-by-step cleanup advice. See: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
