Some email accounts not sending or receiving since last update
Hello, I'd be grateful for any ideas you might have for my problem. I've been using Thunderbird without any issue for some years, I have sites on different hosting platforms and so there are 3 different server settings for the various accounts.
Since the most recent update 2 days ago I've been unable to receive or send mail on the accounts on one of the servers. I've checked the settings with the hosting platform and they are correct. The mail from the other 2 different servers is fine, sending and receiving as usual.
No mail is received on the server, and when I try to send mail I see a message "Sending of the message failed. Peer using unsupported version of security protocol. The configuration related to mail.blacknight.com must be corrected."
The security recommended by the hosting company is STARTTLS, which is enabled. Using pop3 for incoming mail and SMTP for outgoing.
Any ideas to help me gain access to the mail on this server much appreciated. Kind regards, Helen

Thunderbird 78 changed the minimum TLS to TLSv1.2 Many servers are still using out of date TLS, if this is effecting you then the info at the following link will fix the problem. Reset the minimum and then restart Thunderbird.

Many thanks for your speedy and most helpful reply. I changed the config editor value to 1 and now I can send and receive email as before. Best wishes from Ireland.
