Add-on icons in right-hand corner have all disappeared.

All of the add-on icons in the right-hand corner have disappeared. I want to have them back. But turn on, turn off toolbars doesn't fix anything. Customize toolbars doesn't show any of the icons. There's no help for this that I can find; it's hard to even find the terminology in order to describe it. Add-on bar? Is it turned off or hidden or nonfunctional?

Are you using private browsing, e.g. by selecting "Never remember history"? If so, you need to allow the add-ons in private windows. As far as I can see, you need to do that individually in the add-ons manager (ctl+shft+a) by clicking on each add-on name and scrolling down the 'Details' pane until you find the setting.

Are you using private browsing, e.g. by selecting "Never remember history"? If so, you need to allow the add-ons in private windows.
