I'd like to be able to read TB Emails on my phone. Is there an app for that and, if so, where would I get it?

Thanks for your help. SweetTasha

K-9 app will soon be rebranded to a Thunderbird for Android.

You can download it from https://k9mail.app/download

Setup is explained here: https://docs.k9mail.app/en/current/

‪ I installed the K-9 app from Google Play. The setup failed, "Setup could not finish, cannot connect to server SMTP". Screenshot of the INCOMING (First image) and OUTGOING (2nd image) settings are attached.

Thanks for your help. SweetTasha

You would have to post/ upload images that have been saved as jpg files using the 'browse' link in forum - it is located below where you enter content to post a reply. The images are not visible because you have posted a link instead which obviously would never work.

You would also have to appreciate that at the moment it's a k9 app which over time will get updated so it becomes a Thunderbird version for Andriod. Thunderbird has agreed with K9 that it will put development and resources into the k9 app and this is now in operation. So over the next few months and years you would see updates and changes etc.

This forum is for Thunderbird users specifically desktop email client. As yet there is no forum for Thunderbird on Andriod, but there is one for 'Firefox on Andriod':

So if you have a problem then it may be easier to ask people who have been using the K9 app. Try on the k9 forum: https://forum.k9mail.app/c/support/5

The images are not visible because you have posted a link instead which obviously would never work. That isn't obvious to a first-time or occasional user such as me. I now see that I need to scroll down to find it. Thanks for reminding me of that.

You would also have to appreciate that at the moment it's a k9 app which over time will get updated... Of course, but I'm not asking about K9 usage. My problem is in setup, which I would think would be stable once an app is released out of beta, right? Is the K9 app that I want to use in beta?

This forum is for Thunderbird users specifically desktop email client. As yet there is no forum for Thunderbird on Andriod, but there is one for 'Firefox on Andriod' When I click the link it takes me to a page that shows "Firefox for Android Solutions". I don't know how to navigate from there to get to where you suggest I look. But that's a non-issue, as I will be using the K9 forum.

So if you have a problem then it may be easier to ask people who have been using the K9 app. Try on the k9 forum: I agree. I think that forum is the most likely to resolve the setup issue.

Toad-Hall, thanks for all the help. SweetTasha

Your pictures show that k9 has 'guessed' the wrong settings. Enter mail.twc.com for the incoming IMAP on port 993 and mail.twc.com on port 587 for the outgoing SMTP. SSL/TLS security and User Name = email address for both.

sfhowes, Yes. I agree. I did post screenshots of the twc settings but unfortunately I mistakenly posted old settings. Your reply here indirectly alerted me to that and I will post the correct ones at the K9 forum.

Thanks, SweetTasha

I posted the correct current settings but I've gotten no response from the K9 FORUM. I conclude that means that the forum, by inference, has no solution to enable me to use K9. Are there other apps?

Thanks, SweetTasha

I don't think it matters which app you use, as they should all work with the correct settings. But it has always been somewhat difficult to get them right for TWC, as the roadrunner/TWC website is a bit vague. You might have to try different settings suggested by various websites to get it working.
