How do I turn off typing suggestions In Firefox for Android?
I am having a terrible problem with comments I previously typed (primarily in FB) taking over my screen when I am trying to type a new comment. I am unable to see what I am typing and all my previous comments show up for me to insert. If I click on one of the previous comments, it inserts it into the space where I am trying to type. There seems to be no way to close the suggestions and get them off the screen. I never, ever want to say the same thing twice. Can I please get rid of this function entirely? I am using an Asus Nexus 7 with the latest version of Android. Thank you, I just can't seem to find a way to fix this.

Turning off suggestions in Firefox for android? or turn of remember history?
You can turn off the history in the settings menu.
- Customize > Home > History (tap on it and select hide - do this for all the menus in this page)
I hope this helps.

This seems to be working! What a strange way to describe this feature and a strange way to hide it in the settings! The other things in the home menu I am happy with for now, reading list, top sites, etc. Thanks so much!

Ah, but he problem returns. My work around for now is to clear the browser cache. Turning off history functions doesn't seem to be working after all.
HI leinieman, Sorry to hear this. Ok lets try disabling the feature. There is a former question that pointed to Clear Mobile History Add on but this essentially does the same as wiping history from the menu.
There is a private window you can navigate in that will also prevent history from being remembered. It is called a new guest window. Share your Android device with a Firefox Guest Session
I'm going to try the Clear Mobile History app for now. Thanks for the tip!
